Morning Glory Oats

These overnight oats are a wonderfully way to start your morning with a nutritious breakfast. They're loaded with Chia Seeds, Flax Seeds and Sunflower Seeds, all nutrient packed with fiber, protein, essential minerals and vitamins. These Morning Glory Oats takes a few minutes to assemble, and whola they're ready for breakfast the next morning.


Prep Time 5 minutes


Yields: 1 Serving


Ingredients


  • 1/2 cup of old-fashioned oats

  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp ground flax seeds (flax meal)

  • 1 tbsp sunflower seeds

  • 1 tbsp dried cranberries, raisins or other dried fruit

  • 1 cup of almond milk (enough to cover the oats)

  • Optimal serving suggestions - add fresh berries, and date syrup on top

  • Additional serving suggestions - add superfoods granola for extra crunch


Directions


  • Combine oats, cinnamon, dried fruit and seeds in glass jar (mason jar works well).

  • Slowly add almond milk, stirring.

  • Cover with a lid and refrigerate overnight.

  • When ready to serve, stir the oats and add more more milk if needed.

  • Top with fresh berries and for extra sweetness add date syrup, and for extra crunch add superfoods granola.
